Many years ago as junior officers NIck & I both realised that we didn’t want to live in the confines of the Officers’ Mess. Off we trotted to have an adventure sharing a house. It was a time of great happiness having fun in the party pad with Hughie & Carl joining us along the way. Nick was a true friend, full of fun and even put up with my constant rearranging of furniture in the middle of the night. (Story for another time.) I was delighted to meet up with him again years later in Naples, Italy and see the happiness that he had from finding the love of his life. 

I will always miss your joie de vivre & have great memories of that smile that lit up your whole face. Take care my friend.
